About the Artist
Hi! I’m Brittney Oberfeld, the artist behind The Fantastic Fox.
What started as a simple idea for a Harry Potter–themed birthday party turned into something far bigger than I imagined. When the pandemic put celebrations on hold, I kept creating—crafting potions, magical creatures, and props that felt like they belonged in a wizard’s workshop. By the time the party finally happened two years later (and yes, it was as magical as I’d hoped!), my apartment was overflowing with handmade relics.
Friends and family nudged me to share them at a local market. I did—and to my surprise, they sold out. That one market turned into many, and what began as a passion project slowly grew into the Fantastic Fox.
Today, I design and handcraft one-of-a-kind fantasy props and creatures using mixed media and upcycled materials. Every potion bottle swirls with secrets, every creature feels alive, every relic is made to look as if it’s been plucked straight from another world. I sculpt, mold, cast, paint, and puzzle over the tiniest details until each piece feels believable—magic you can hold in your hands.
The name the Fantastic Fox is inspired by my two Shiba Inus, Appa and Yenn, who look like little foxes and bring their own kind of magic to my life. I’m a proud Gryffindor, a lifelong fantasy fan, and I chase that same feeling of wonder I had as a kid opening a storybook and wishing I could step inside.
If you’re a dreamer, collector, or adventurer at heart, welcome. My hope is that every piece you adopt sparks joy, curiosity, and a bit of everyday magic in your world. And if you have a vision for something custom, my door—and my workshop—are always open.
