About the Artist

Hi! I’m Brittney Oberfeld, the creator behind The Fantastic Fox.

What began as a personal passion project—a Harry Potter-themed birthday party—quickly turned into something much bigger. When the pandemic hit, celebrations were put on hold, but I kept crafting. I made props and decor to bring the wizarding world to life, piece by piece. Two years later, the party finally happened (and it was magical!), but I was left with an apartment full of my creations. Encouraged by friends and family, I took them to a local market—and to my delight, they were a hit.

Now, years and many markets later, my art has evolved into a collection of handmade, one-of-a-kind fantasy props inspired by magic and mystery. My work blends mixed media techniques with upcycled materials, ensuring that every potion bottle, creature, and relic feels like it’s been pulled straight out of a wizard’s workshop.

As an artist, I love solving the puzzles each piece presents—figuring out how to make something look as believable and true-to-life as possible. I sculpt, mold, cast, and experiment with materials until the magic feels just right. My hope is that when people bring one of my creations home, it sparks joy, wonder, and a bit of whimsy.

The name 'The Fantastic Fox' was inspired by my two Shiba Inus, Appa and Yenn, who look just like little foxes and bring their own kind of magic into my life.

I’m a proud Gryffindor, a lifelong fan of fantasy, and I’m always chasing that feeling of stepping into another world. If you’d like something custom, message me on Instagram—I’d love to help bring your magical vision to life.
