About potions from the vault

Every potion begins as a bottle — vintage, antique, or unusually shaped — chosen for the story it might one day hold.

From there, each piece is transformed by hand: vintage metals and woods are sourced, labels are illustrated and aged, sculpted details are added, and inside you may find swirling, colour-shifting liquid or even a curious specimen. No two bottles are ever the same; each carries its own history and a touch of alchemy imagined just for that vessel.

Concept notes:

This vintage glass bottle has exactly the right presence for a potion you wouldn’t want to activate in large doses. Something small, fast-acting, and a little mischievous. I’ve been wanting to explore more Weasleys’ Wizarding Wheezes–inspired creations for a while now, and this bottle feels like the perfect starting point.

I’m currently torn between two very different directions: Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder or Fred and George’s Ageing Potion.

If this becomes an Ageing Potion, I’m imagining a colour-changing liquid that shifts into a silvery-grey swirl, echoing the long beards the twins famously grew when their potion went wrong. I’d love to sculpt a tasseled wizard’s hat as the topper, giving the whole piece a playful nod to that moment.

If I go the route of Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, the bottle would be filled with an ultra-fine black powder, lightly speckled with iridescent shimmer to suggest hidden magic. I’d pair it with intricate metal components to give it the feeling of something rare, powerful, and carefully contained.

Two very different paths, both rooted in mischief. I’d love to hear what you think and which direction you feel this bottle should take.

When can I expect to hear from you?

Because each potion and specimen is handcrafted and designed uniquely for its bottle, there isn’t a strict timeline; I let the creative process naturally unfold.

That said, I aim to complete reserved bottles within 1–2 months.
