Bottle #065
About potions from the vault
Every potion begins as a bottle — vintage, antique, or unusually shaped — chosen for the story it might one day hold.
From there, each piece is transformed by hand: vintage metals and woods are sourced, labels are illustrated and aged, sculpted details are added, and inside you may find swirling, colour-shifting liquid or even a curious specimen. No two bottles are ever the same; each carries its own history and a touch of alchemy imagined just for that vessel.

Concept notes:
I’ve been wanting to make a piece like this for a very long time, so I was thrilled to finally find a glass bottle that pairs perfectly with a metal nozzle I’ve been holding onto for just the right project. Together, they feel made for a magical spray bottle.
I’ve been exploring two possible uses for this antique spray bottle, leaning towards either Doxycide or Devil’s Snare Suppressant, both of which would be essential for witches and wizards who enjoy gardening, herbology, rare plants, or simply like to stay one step ahead of a potential Doxy infestation.
The Book of Potions describes Doxycide as a black-coloured, foul-smelling substance used to deal with Doxies. When sprayed, it temporarily paralyses them, allowing for safe removal without the risk of being bitten.
At the same time, the bottle could work just as well for a Devil’s Snare Suppressant, designed to weaken the plant when applied directly.
Whichever way this piece goes, I know it’s going to be a functional-looking artifact and I am so excited to get started on this one!
When can I expect to hear from you?
Because each potion and specimen is handcrafted and designed uniquely for its bottle, there isn’t a strict timeline; I let the creative process naturally unfold.
That said, I aim to complete reserved bottles within 1–2 months.
