Bottle #072
About potions from the vault
Every potion begins as a bottle — vintage, antique, or unusually shaped — chosen for the story it might one day hold.
From there, each piece is transformed by hand: vintage metals and woods are sourced, labels are illustrated and aged, sculpted details are added, and inside you may find swirling, colour-shifting liquid or even a curious specimen. No two bottles are ever the same; each carries its own history and a touch of alchemy imagined just for that vessel.

Concept notes:
With a bottle this small, I know whatever it holds needs to be exceptionally rare. This is the kind of substance that would only ever be collected or brewed in tiny quantities, measured carefully and used with intention.
That immediately brings to mind a few possibilities I’m torn between: Unicorn Blood, Veritaserum, or perhaps Ground Basilisk Fang.
If I go in the direction of Unicorn Blood, the bottle would be filled with a thick, silvery liquid that comes alive when shaken. I’d pair it with a topper that feels magical and slightly iridescent, something that hints at the power and consequence tied to this substance.
With Veritaserum, the approach would be much more restrained. The liquid would appear crystal clear when still, only revealing subtle iridescent movement when disturbed. The overall design would feel almost sacred, reflecting the fact that this is not a potion to be taken lightly or handled without care.
The Ground Basilisk Fang option takes things in a very different direction. In this case, the bottle would be filled with a fine, pale powder, and I’d explore sculpting a tiny snake head into the topper, complete with fangs. Dangerous, unmistakable, and deeply rooted in dark magic.
Whichever direction this piece takes, I’d love to explore making it wearable. The scale feels perfect for a belt attachment or to be carried as part of a traveling potions kit, something small, rare, and always kept close.
When can I expect to hear from you?
Because each potion and specimen is handcrafted and designed uniquely for its bottle, there isn’t a strict timeline; I let the creative process naturally unfold.
That said, I aim to complete reserved bottles within 1–2 months.
